Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Rachel Johnson takes pride in her community and her school, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). Rachel graduated from TAMUCC in 2007 with a degree in Math Education. For several years, she taught different levels of high school math at Flour Bluff High School. Always eager to learn, she returned to TAMUCC and received a Master's Degree in Accounting in May 2016. While she was pursuing her master's degree, she became a teaching assistant for First-Year Seminar. After completion, she joined the First-Year Learning Communities Program as a seminar professor.
